I am a grown woman and I don't think I could give this up: "When I was in seventh grade, my friend wanted to give up something for Lent, and she decided to give up tucking her hair behind her ears. I think about that a lot."

My kid and I had the tiny Jelly Star (the second image in your post) for two years. It's great because it's big enough to be a great phone for texts and calls and small enough that you don't really want to interact it with for anything else. I used the voice to text to send texts so I didn't have to type. Having it for so long pretty much cured my phone addiction. Sadly, my eyes are old and I had to upgrade to the next larger Jelly (the Jelly Max) and I have been using that for a year and a half. I love it - the battery life is super long and it's thick so it feels nice in my hand. I wish it were dumber tho.
