I’ve really given my nieces and nephews a lot to think about this year.
When did you learn that not all adults have kids? I feel like I was about seventeen. Whether you’re a parent or adult or child or baby or all four I hope you have a really nice weekend. Here are a few other things:
I just read This Time Tomorrow and now I’m reading Before We Were Trans and A System So Magnificent It Is Blinding. Have you read any of them, do you want to talk about them with me? Are you reading anything good?
There are a couple CATS tote bags and SAD BEE pins available at Buy Olympia for the next few weeks, once they sell out there won’t be any more, so you should buy some if you’d like to!
Our neighbor’s beagle was wagging his tail at me from behind the fence today, and when I didn’t come over to pet him, he somehow slinked through the bars in the fence like a mouse and ran to greet me on the sidewalk. I think he might be a ghost.
I’m drew this newsletter at a cafe and am now so deeply invested on eavesdropping at the two college students at the table next to me that I’m tempted to keep sitting here and listening (why is Emma so weird, at the horror movie night she was like barely talking. it’s rubbing everyone the wrong way. remember when we played volleyball and adam liked her but everyone was chill about it?) but I should go do some other non-parent things.
Here to scare your kids
I'm having a bit of a mid-life crisis about turning 40 this year... looks like "This Time Tomorrow" needs to be my next read!
