I understand and I've slowly been learning people who can't hear your voice even if you're talking are usually actively choosing not to and they don't deserve to hear it anyway!

Love this Brooke!! Can relate. Also, I recently read a little life. I loved the first half but I wouldn’t recommend finishing it. It’s beautifully written but honestly the most depressing book I’ve ever read.

love your newsletter. i look forward to seeing in my email. also, yes, i totally wonder at times why i make conversation, since no one listens (or it feels like no one is listening). i had a teacher who mispronounced my last name for a full year in drill team and then the next year, i had her for trig and when she did the roll, i corrected her and she said, “you mean to say that i pronounced your name incorrectly all last year?” and i said, “yes, ma’am”. and she went back to mispronouncing it the next day. what do you do?
