Let's go dopamine hunting
Now I have three foolproof methods for distracting myself: online window shopping, Nerds Gummy Clusters, and truck drivers.
I’d really love new ones though, especially because the truck drivers are kind of rare. What things do you do to instantly make yourself feel better? Breathing techniques are kind of boring, and I’ve tried the grounding technique where you hear and touch and smell different things but nothing in my vicinity is ever that soothing. Do you have a special tea or song or a candle? Do you call someone? Do you put on socks? Do you go for a run? Do you do push-ups? I’m not that interested in push-ups.
