I support your Jellyfish dreams! If I think too much about how I have organs functioning inside of me and blood flowing it really weirds me out - so you are not alone. I don't even like to hear my own heartbeat!

This is going to sound awful and you might faint again but I've always had to watch them push the needle into the skin. I'm trying to avoid not getting startled because I startle easily and that could cause a problem. I just want to say you did great!! Now to work on that whole octopus thing because I think stinging others would be a really great superpower!

Happy Birthday, Brooke! I happily subscribed to your weekly email. I love jellyfish. Watching them floating up and down in the aquarium is sooooo relaxing. I can relate to your problem with blood tests. There is something about needles that gets to me. I had to stop giving blood because I nearly fainted, and the flow got so slow they asked me not to come back. I also nearly fainted when the vet gave my cat glucose with a very big needle. Then there was the time I got very light headed when I watched my husband was give cholera shots in Vietnam. You are not alone.

Oof, this is very relatable. True life: I'm in my 30s and still have never had my blood drawn because even thinking about it makes me feel like tossing my cookies. I know it's gonna happen some day (probably soon), so thanks for this story and I'll just try to talk to myself about becoming a jellyfish in the meantime.
