I’ve had ten years longer than you to think about this phrase so I’d like to start off with my assumption - we’re talking about cheese, right? They must have actually really said “log, wheel, or both?” But I don’t think Trader Joe’s has logs of cheese? I just don’t know what a lug or a wheel is, cheese is my only guess.
If you work at Trader Joe’s, or if you knew a Bubba who worked at one ten years ago, I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’ve carried this question with me across decades and oceans and it’s been in my head while I’ve worn out probably five pairs of shoes. It’s my second-favorite thing Trader Joe’s has given me, after corn nuts.
What do you think Hey Bubba, Lug Wheel or Both means? Do you have your own nonsensical inside joke or phrase, or an unsolved mystery? What’s your favorite grocery store snack? Mine changes every few months. Right now it’s olives and blueberries. I haven’t eaten them together but honestly, I’d try it.
I have an event NOT tomorrow but next week, at the Besore Memorial Library and they’ll be giving away free copies of my book How Do Meerkats Order Pizza to attendees, that I’d love to draw in for you. If you have friends in that area tell them, because there’s a limit to how many copies of the book they’ll give away and I want your friends to get one first.
I hope your week is ok and that you either solve a mystery or say something unusual in front of a stranger that they’ll remember forever.
My husband and I were walking through a Disney hotel once and we passed two women as one of them goes "and I said to her, I said 'Carol.....you need a margarita'" and it also has become part of our personalities
My mystery is why do the artists get the words wrong when I’m singing along to their music?
