Oh no! We have to socialise a particular number of times?! I was just starting to feel good about my portions of fruits and vegetables. Three seems a lot for every day. I like to have at least 1 day with none.
Right there with you. I was assuming it was three a WEEK. And that feels kinda excessive to me...I’m definitely not hitting that target.
Also - I live in the UK where seeing a GP is the rarest of rare things...and you’re only allowed to talk about ONE THING. So the idea that the dr would also be interested in my mental health during those brief 10 minutes makes me laugh hysterically. Sigh. ☹️ Sorry to be negative, it’s a bit stressful here if you’re ill.
After my grandma died in August, my mom and her sisters went through her closet. I got a few of her scarves, expensive high quality woolen ones. I haven't worn any others this winter. Makes me feel close to her
See every time I get in a lift I think about the fact that if it got stuck we’d all have to establish a pee corner and then I look at the corners to decide which one it should be
I moved from England where we ignore each other in lifts to France, where you greet everyone and say goodbye/have a nice day (bonjour or bonsoir, and au revoir or bonne journée or bonne après-midi or bonne soirée) and now I feel weird ignoring people in England!
Aren't "blanket scarves" a thing? I swear they're a thing. But I know next to nothing about fashion so... Maybe not?
A woman about my mom's age engaged me in the most charming conversation on a very short elevator ride. It took everything in me not to follow after her and beg her to adopt me. Maybe that's a sign I definitely need those three socialization activities a week, after all. 🤔
It is at all possible that we don't compliment ourselves enough to know how to accept them from others? Asking for a friend (ha ha ha - last week received a compliment about my loss of weight and met it with, "no, I have not. Everything feels tight....oh, right...just accept the compliment and move on...") And I am sorry, but 3 socialization activities in one week is exhausting just thinking about. Is this person certain of that number? I am not sure I can even consider that.
Three!? That seems like a high number of socialization activities.

Maybe the old lady was a smartypants and you one upped her joke:
OL: thats a nice scarf…
U: Thank you
OL: ..if you were bigfoot hahahahahahaha
U: oh
I too have a blanket-scarf; I tell anyone who asks that it's actually a scanket... Luckily not many folk ask me 😅
Blanket scarves def a thing. At least, I call them that (I have several) and I've seen the words written next to one another.

Wow, I do need to learn more (actually, all there is to know) about the amount of socialization activities. And what a socialization activity even is!
