I was thinking on some sick burns to reply to the hairdresser but remembered the rule “dont mess with the people that cook your food or cut your hair” Plato

…or Pluto, can’t remember

If you knit sweaters for Kip, he won’t grow out of them.

I love that tiny sweater! Lucky baby! And I hate negging.

I think subconsciously I must not like getting my hair cut because I forget to put the appointment into my google calendar. They call me to remind me and I am caught off guard. This last time I was thrilled to have a head cold and have to postpone the appointment.

If I say I think "negging" is stupid - is that negging? I don't understand any approach where a negative is thought to have a good result.

Your sweater is gorgeous! I can only knit straight things - you've got arms there and a button placket!!! And beautifully done!

The sweater is lovely! My friend just had a baby and I made her the Sinister Kittigan, but because it was so much work, I made it, like, 2 year old sized, so the kid could get a little more wear out of it. But I also feel bad because that's so far away, so now that she's had the baby (the gender was a surprise), I'm making an actual baby-sized sweater (the Wee Drew). And I'm already like, "Why am I doing this? This child will wear it for approximately 8.2 seconds." But is that thought stopping me? No.

One time a hairdresser said my hair looked bad and I was 99% sure she was the one who had cut it last 😂 Not just that salon but her specifically. I didn’t have the strength to tell her back then— I was in high school— but I would now!

I don’t like having my hair cut, it’s been over two years since my last haircut. I once ended up looking like Noel Gallagher and kept my hood up for months

You have beautiful hair, and you can choose whatever style makes you happy. That baby sweater is fantastic, and any parent will be proud to have it for as long as it fits the baby. Then it will doubtless be handed down, with love, to another stylish infant. I'm knitting a baby sweater now in a toddler size, but it's still gonna be too small because I started the sweater a long time ago and that baby is now in fourth grade! If/when I ever finish it, I hope to find someone else with a toddler who can use a hooded cardigan.

I'm attempting to let my hair go gray after years (decades) of coloring it. Woe is me. My hair colorist (gay guy), when I told him I wanted to start, told me not to do it and that I would be thought of as less than in the workplace. Maybe the people who are in the hair biz are so used to dishing that they don't know when to nod and smile?
